MOROCCO – An investment of about $ 10 billion involves Tangier and the plan of expansion of the industrial and technological sector following an agreement between Morocco and China.
Based on what is announced, the project will be financed by the Bank of Africa, owned by the Moroccan Bank of Foreign Trade (BMCE), the Rabat government and Haite Chinese group who will follow the construction of the industrial and technological complex.
According to the Minister, Moulay Hafid El Alamy, the project will cover an area of 2,000 hectares and will house facilities for 100,000 jobs and 300,000 inhabitants.
The industrial park will be divided into different specialized production areas in particular in aviation, automotive, telecommunications, renewable energy and transport. The objective of the Moroccan government is attracting investment from at least 200 multinational companies.
